Whitley Rose Queen

Thank you to everyone for coming to the 2010 Whitley Rose Queen, I had the best day ever. I felt very honoured to have Mrs Littler crown me and I had so many presents and cards, it was lovely. The highlight of the day was the Pig Racing, it was a great surprise and I want to thank Mr Houghton and Mr Clarke in particular for doing that for me, next year I looking forward to helping out as Emily did this year. The Rose Queen Committee did a wonderful job with the rides and stalls, it’s a lot of work and time, all of my friends loved the sheep the best.
A big thank you to my retinue, Olivia and Isabella looked very pretty and Finn and Brad looked very grown up in their waistcoats and cravats. Jonty was a very good crown bearer and Erin has been a great Chief Attendant. I hope I have as good a year as Emily had and that I can do as good a job. I am looking forward to church and although I will miss the Garden Party, Erin has agreed to stand in for me.
