BARK LAYING IN ADVENTURE AREA
It was all hands to the pump ( or shovels to the heap) on a bright Saturday morning last month when parents and children from the Village School joined forces and barrowed and raked over 16 tonnes of bark chippings from the school field to the adventure playground. It was fantastic to see so many teachers, parents, pupils, future pupils and neighbours joining in, and with amazing team work, made light work of what looked initially to be a very daunting task.
A very big thank you to Karen and John Hood who sourced and delivered the bark and a very sincere thank you to everyone who helped - now the children can enjoy the adventure playground again - safely.
